WHAT IS THE FUN RUN?
This year, students will be participating in our Manchester Park Elementary Fun Run on Friday, September 15, 2023 during the school day. Students will get to walk/run around a designated running course with their classmates and friends in the same grade level and then go into the gym for a glow party. This is the PTO’s major fundraiser and MPE receives 100% of the funds from this event. The PTO budget for the school year is highly based off how much we raise during this week of the FUN RUN! 

 

HOW MUCH DO WE NEED TO RAISE?
We are setting a goal of $30,000. It is a BIG number, but with everyone’s support, we can do it! In the past, money raised has gone towards new playground equipment as well as items the school district does NOT cover such as field trips, classroom materials, supplemental reading materials, staff appreciation events, and teacher meals during conferences, just to name a few!

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?
We are challenging everyone to participate. Students will ask friends, family, neighbors, or parents’ co-workers to be sponsors. Sponsorship is a single donation and is not based on the number of laps completed during the Fun Run event. Each student is asked to collect a minimum of $50 in donations for their run to help us reach our goal of $30,000. If the school reaches its goal, there will be a special surprise. 

DONATIONS
Parents and Families can submit donations online or turn in a printed donation form with their collected money. Donation forms are sent home with students.
